Write Warz adds a horrific twist to their collaborative storytelling game for Halloween!

Now available in time to celebrate Halloween, the Write Warz co-op demo, now available on Steam, gives up to 6 players a chance to competitively build horror-themed stories in addition to the many already existing storytelling options.

Whether you’re a casual player, a party game enthusiast, or a self-styled storyteller looking for a collaborative challenge, Write Warz provides gamers and writers alike a chance to create something truly unique. Be serious, be silly, be scary, or just write with an intent to create the wildest, weirdest twist possible, Write Warz challenges you to be creative and strategic in collaboration with other players, taking turns to build a shared a compelling narrative. When complete, players then vote on the best contributions anonymously, giving the top voted contributor the points, one round at a time. While cooperative storytelling is not a new concept at its core, it’s the competitive element that elevates it to something more than just an exercise in creative writing, as Boltz Entertainment Richard Boltz explains:

“Write Warz was inspired by a storytelling tradition that began on a Navy aircraft carrier in the 1970s, bringing that same sense of shared creativity to the digital age. The sailors at the end of each shift would add sentences to a story in a journal. By the end of the week, the crew would gather to hear the completed story, full of unexpected twists and turns. Now, Write Warz captures that magic in a competitive, fun, and fast-paced game where everyone’s creativity shapes the outcome.”

– Richard Boltz (CEO, Boltz Entertainment)

At the recent Dreamhack Atlanta event, Boltz Entertainment, the team behind Write Warz, took home a second Indie Playground Audience Choice Award.
